Our History

The Clearinghouse was created in 1981 to  "Offer a hand, not a hand out".

Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work in this area, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!

Service Hours

Food Service Hours: 

Clients can get groceries one time a month and lunches every day we are open. The Clearinghouse services Dearborn and Ohio Counties. We serve Ripley County through our Mobile Pantry.  Community members are welcome to sign up for services. They need to bring:

 1) Photo ID for head of household 

2) Social Security cards for everyone in household

3) Proof of income 

4) Proof of residency. 

Only one account per household.

Name and Address, Email address, Phone number, and Credit/Debit Card Information [etc.]  

The Way We Use Information: 

We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.  

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive and send newsletters. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.  

You can register with our website if you would like to receive our newsletter as well as updates on our new products and services. Information you submit on our website will not be used for this purpose unless you fill out the registration form.
